Why Invisalign?

Invisalign has become a very popular alternative to braces because no one has to know that you are straightening your teeth or repositioning your bite. Our patients love Invisalign because the system requires no brackets, no wires, no bands and thankfully, no headgear!

What Is Invisalign?

The Invisalign system is a series of clear, removable aligners that are custom-molded to fit your teeth. The virtually invisible aligners gradually reposition your teeth into a smile you can be proud of. The system works like braces and in many cases shifts teeth faster.

How Does It Work?

You will come in for a complimentary orthodontic consultation. At this visit, you can decide if Invisalign is a good option for you. Following the initial consultation appointment, you will have records taken. The doctor quickly captures an accurate 3D image of your teeth using a scanner, then we will take some photos of your teeth, and some digital imaging of your jaw. The doctor then works with Invisalign to fine-tune every shift in every tooth using software developed by Invisalign. Think of this as a roadmap to your new smile. Your doctor can show you your new smile before you even get started using the Clincheck software.

Once your digital plan is finalized your custom aligners are made using state-of-the-art printing process. You will wear a set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. As you replace each set of aligners with the next in the series, your teeth will gradually move until they reach the position the doctor has prescribed for you.

How Much Does It Cost?

Many dental insurance providers cover Invisalign just like braces. Costs can vary, but the results are priceless

How Long Is The Treatment?

An average Invisalign course of treatment takes about a year. At regular intervals, you’ll receive a new set of custom-molded clear aligners to continue the straightening process. The total number of clear aligners is specific to you, determined by the doctor for your course of treatment.

Is Invisalign For Me?

If you are interested in straightening your teeth or repositioning your bite, but hate the idea of metal brackets and wires, Invisalign could be the solution for you. Invisalign can be used to treat the vast majority of common problems for adults and teens. Whether your smile needs minor improvements or more extensive adjustments, Invisalign can certainly help. It’s successful in treating overly crowded or widely spaced teeth. It can also relieve more complex issues, including overbites, underbites and even crossbites. Since Invisalign is practically invisible, there’s no unwarranted attention to your mouth. In fact, very few people will notice at all – unless you tell them. They’re comfortable to wear and remove easily when you eat, brush, and floss.
